TERMS AND CONDITIONS
PREPARATION:
Buyer is responsible for the following preparation as applicable:
- Removing any breakable items from walls or shelves indoors as well as the outside of the structure near areas of the installation or repair.
- Moving or covering furniture located near the house including patios and decks.
- Covering any pools or ponds to protect from debris.
- Protecting items in attic, garage or under skylights via plastic tarps or other means.
Tearing off the existing roofing and/or the replacement of bad wood, could cause dust or debris to enter those areas directly beneath the roof. - Removing any obstructions that may prohibit the installation, which includes
parking all vehicles away from the structure, garage and driveway. If there are any objects prohibiting us from loading the roof, extra labor costs will incur. - Cutting off electrical to all attic power fans. Homeowner responsible for reconnecting electrical to new power fans.
- Keeping people and pets away from the work area until installation is complete.
- Preparing for job related noise by notifying residents and scheduling accordingly with our company if work hours or days are limited.
PERMISSIONS:
Homeowner agrees to allow McDaniels, its suppliers and subcontractors the use of the driveway and right of way. Homeowner agrees to hold McDaniels harmless for cracks in the driveway due to delivery or removal of materials.
WARRANTIES:
All material is guaranteed to be as specified. All work to be completed in a workmanlike manner
according to standard practices. Any alteration or deviations from the specifications involving
extra costs will only be executed upon written orders and will become an extra charge over and
above the estimate. All agreements contingent upon strikes, accidents or delays beyond our
control. Owner to carry fire, tornado and other necessary insurance. Our workers are covered by
Workers’ Compensation Insurance. For one year after completion of work, McDaniels Siding and Roofing, Inc. shall provide a workmanship warranty, which covers any issues that may arise as a direct result of installation errors. The owner is responsible for alerting McDaniels immediately upon discovery of leaks after installation. This warranty is contingent upon terms of this contract and payment in full. Homeowner responsible for registering with manufacturer directly for additional shingle or siding warranty as applicable.
PAYMENT TERMS:
Payment is due in full upon completion of work. Buyer will be in default if payment is not
received. In the event of default under this contract, McDaniels Siding and Roofing Inc. shall be entitled to recover all damages, legal fees and other expenses incurred in whole or in part to the Buyer’s default.
FORCE MAJEURE:
Contractor shall not be liable for any delay, failures, or default in performance of this agreement, in whole or in part, caused by the occurrence of any event beyond the control of the contractor.
If our suppliers declare a “force majeure,” we reserve the right to pass any monetary increase
on to our customers.
